Today’s a day for diagnostics: playing with Forscan and Smart pro for tools today. Found 2 configuration errors in the new engine computer that were swiftly resolved and performed all keys lost to rule out any key issues. Also found 3 transmission range sensor codes the typical automotive scanners did not show which, when resolved, will make this car run again. Fords can be tricky.

Finally got my new locksmith programming tool. Took almost 2 months for them to catch up on orders and ship. It wasn’t my next tool on the list but the price was impossible to ignore.

There is a lot more to finding the correct key for a vehicle that people realize. Had an F150 today that had a single key that the buttons didn’t work on at all. Turns out it wasn’t even the right key. Programmed 2 correct keys for the vehicle and not only does it lock and unlock like it is supposed to but the customer also now has factory remote start they didn’t even know was an option… at a cost savings of 500 dollars compared to the dealer!
