SCI recently had the opportunity to attend the 2026 PATH Week Celebration Luncheon. PATH continues to serve as a vital bridge between supporters and volunteers and our neighbors in need. Each year, PATH serves over 25,000 individuals from Smith County and surrounding areas through personalized programs and services. PATH’s Choice Food Pantry, the largest in the region, and its Transitional Housing Program, unique to the area, are just two examples of its impactful initiatives. Guided by their mission, PATH seeks to restore hope through a personalized approach to empower our East Texas neighbors to thrive in our community. SCI recently participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for Montgomery County's new Precinct 1 Community Center. The new facility is intended to expand public service delivery to the citizens of Montgomery County and will house critical non-profit social service agencies. The SCI team looks forward to delivering this important facility that will serve the city of Conroe and surrounding areas for years to come.

The team at SCI, alongside our project partners, district leadership, board members, bond oversight committee and Longview ISD's Class of 2026, recently participated in a special beam signing ceremony for the district's new Career & Technical Education Center. The new facility is named after former Longview High Principal James P. Brewer. The beam signing was designed to give students a meaningful and lasting connection to LISD's future and will serve as a lasting symbol of the legacy of the Class of 2026. DLR Group

The East Texas Food Bank has been providing food to over 200 partner agencies and food programs since 1988. Their ongoing mission to “fight hunger and feed hope in east Texas” is a critical one, serving the needs of over 175,000 households across its 26-county service area. As part of SCI’s Give Back Initiative, the SCI Team was thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside other volunteers to support this great organization. The team was able to pack 528 boxes and 11 pallets worth of food for our east Texas seniors in need. SCI recently had the privilege of delivering a transformative campus expansion for Rose Heights Church. The completed project added 7,373 square feet of new construction, including a 5,880-square-foot foyer addition and a 1,493 square-foot administration addition. In addition, approximately 6,462 square feet of existing space was renovated, encompassing the foyer, administrative offices, restrooms, and key worship environments. The campus now totals 86,282 square feet. A major highlight of the completed project is the comprehensive sanctuary renovation. The worship space has been transformed into a refreshed, contemporary environment that enhances engagement and flexibility. With these improvements now complete, Rose Heights Church is better equipped than ever to welcome guests, foster fellowship, and serve the community. The expanded and modernized campus stands as a testament to the church’s vision for growth, excellence, and lasting impact.

This successful project was recently honored with Stars of Distinction at the 2025–26 TASA/TASB Exhibit of School Architecture. The award recognizes excellence in design, value, wellness, community, planning, and transformation. The Tyler ISD Foundation Grants for Great Ideas were recently awarded to Tyler ISD educators for innovative ideas that support student achievement and classroom enrichment. The grant awards went to the district, a campus, an individual, or a team of educators. The foundation was able to award $52,351 in Grants for Great Ideas this year. A total of 22 grants were awarded on 12 campuses and will impact 6,962 students!
