Jake represented with at the North American Tree Climbing Championships located at the SEED Campus in Kent, Ohio. Competing for Jake has always been about having fun and learning from top notch climbers in the industry, and this was the place to do it!

The best part of competing is the people involved and the friends you meet along the way - whether it be competitors, judges, volunteers, or spectators. Big shoutout to and for your support, inspiration, and for making it out of Group J and into the Masters! Many thanks to everyone at the NATCC who made this year magical! 💫

Happy Arbor Day! 🌳

Trees shape the places we live in ways that are easily overlooked.
They provide shade, improve air quality, protect soil, and support wildlife.

Arbor Day is a reminder to take care of the trees around us, by planting new ones, maintaining what’s already there, or by helping restore spaces that could benefit from having trees.

This past week, Jake spent some time getting involved in a couple of local efforts at his alma maters:

🪵 Stump Grinding -

Tree removal isn’t always the final step…

Depending on the intended use of the space, stump grinding can drastically improve your landscape. Planting trees directly where the stump is ground is typically not recommended unless most of the stump grindings are removed. As the grindings break down, heat is released and it can cause the root system to suffer.

It’s not always necessary to grind your stump, so if you’re unsure whether a stump should be removed or left to decompose naturally, we’re happy to talk through the options.
