🏛️ History Uncovered: The REALM Memorial is Complete.
We are profoundly proud to share that the REALM memorial is now permanently installed on the hill in front of the Mamaroneck Town Center. The Bellantoni Team has done an incredible job in the construction of the memorial.
This beautifully curved monument honors the men, women, and children enslaved in Mamaroneck Township between 1661 and 1822. Through powerful ceramic artwork, it brings to life a significant, deeply important period of our local history that has been buried for far too long—reflecting dignity, sorrow, and determination.
A massive thank you to our incredible artist and design team—Judith Weber, Sarah Coble, Sana Musasama, Mariví Perdomo Caba, and Jorge L. Ventura Ovalles—as well as the team at Bellantoni Landscaping and ArtsWestchester for making this vision a reality.
This memorial belongs to the entire community. We invite you to visit, reflect, and learn.
