Welcome to A-Typical Cabin: Designed to make the most of lake life. This Wisconsin cabin renovation addition connects the existing home and garage while opening the living spaces to the water with a walk-out lower level. Rustic timber beams, quartz countertops, and a forest-inspired palette create a retreat that feels as natural as its surroundings.

We designed this 11,000-square-foot home in Okoboji, Iowa, to have both generous scale and genuine comfort. A grand two-story stone fireplace, rustic flooring, a bright palette, and layers of texture bring warmth to every room. Traditional in spirit but far from formal, it's the kind of lake house that invites people to settle in and stay awhile, the perfect place to spend a summer evening.
