🚧 SCIOTO COUNTY ROADS ARE GETTING WORK… SO PORTSMOUTH RESIDENTS ARE ASKING: WHEN IS IT OUR TURN? 🚧

Across Scioto County, road crews have been busy. Drivers have seen resurfacing projects, bridge repairs, culvert replacements, and pavement improvements on major routes like U.S. 52, U.S. 23, State Route 335, State Route 125, and State Route 522. Additional work is expected to continue through the coming months.

In New Boston and other parts of the county, fresh pavement is becoming a familiar sight.

But many Portsmouth residents say they’re still waiting.

For those who travel Gallia Street and other city roads every day, the contrast is hard to ignore. Some stretches are showing their age with cracks, patches, and potholes, while neighboring communities continue to see improvements.

While every project depends on available funding, engineering, utility work, and state or local planning, one question keeps coming up from drivers across the city:

👉 When will Portsmouth see the same level of investment in its streets?
