10/3/24 -BEFORE YOU BUY A HOME! While most people who are shopping for a home get a home inspection, it is our general suggestion that, in addition, you hire a licensed plumber, and a licensed electrician to also do home (and sewer camera) inspections prior to purchase. Many people do not understand when buying a home, you buy the sewer under the ground to the main-that can be on the other side of the street! That doesn't exclude new homes either-this summer had to dig up the original clogged sewer line on a 10 year old home (when they tore down the original home, they left a portion of the original sewer and never added a yard clean out!) We done this for many clients and have discovered what would've been extremely expensive future plumbing issues, had they gone ahead with the purchase. We have also been able to get up to $6000 off at closing-due to plumbing issues, in this case, a sewer that needed to be replaced after we inspected and sent a camera down the sewer line.
