Members of our Waltham office recently gathered at Polar Park for an evening of baseball and good company alongside company leaders, field staff, and colleagues from Connecticut.

Outings like this allow our employees and their families to connect away from the office and project sites while strengthening relationships across the company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great night cheering on the Worcester Red Sox!

Earlier this year, we shared a look at the complex planning and construction behind a specialized rooftop structure. Today, we’re pleased to share the completed result.

Constructed atop an existing high-rise building, the new domed steel enclosure will support specialized research requiring precise positioning and an unobstructed sight line.

The project demanded extensive preconstruction planning and precise ex*****on. Our team’s work included temporary rooftop testing, structural and logistics investigations, detailed cost and schedule development, regulatory coordination, steel er****on, waterproofing, and installation of the prefabricated dome.

One of the project’s defining operations required a 400-ton crane with a boom reaching 296 feet to lift materials and the completed dome above the building’s 30-foot parapet walls.

The finished structure reflects the collaboration, technical planning, and field coordination required to deliver highly specialized construction in a challenging location.

Project milestone: 195 cubic yards. Nineteen concrete trucks. One tightly coordinated placement.

Our team recently placed approximately 195 cubic yards of 5,000-PSI concrete for a heavily reinforced equipment pad. Beginning at 6:00 a.m., the team completed the pour by 11:30 a.m.

With each load required to be placed within 90 minutes of batching, the operation demanded careful planning, precise sequencing, and constant coordination among our team and project partners. The result was a successful placement that met the project’s demanding technical requirements.

Thank you to everyone who helped execute this major milestone.

This week, Standard Builders was proud to participate in OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week.

Our project teams and trade partners came together for toolbox talks focused on planning work safely, identifying and correcting hazards, speaking up when something is unsafe, and reinforcing every worker’s authority to stop work when conditions are not right.

Teams also observed a moment of silence in memory of workers who have lost their lives or suffered serious injuries because of work-related incidents. Their memory reminds us why safety must remain at the center of every task, every day.

Thank you to our field teams and trade partners for your participation and your continued commitment to helping everyone return home safely at the end of each workday.

In celebration of , we’re proud to recognize the seven talented interns who have spent their summer learning, contributing, and gaining firsthand experience at Standard Builders.

Working across our Accounting, Information Technology, and Project Management teams, Allie Sheehan, Bria Dillard, Daniella Ikonn, Lauren Kohs, Liam McQueeney, Sierra Ashe, and Yahia Hassan have brought curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn to our Waltham and Wethersfield offices.
