We were finaly able to catch some dry conditions. This site had some challenging soils. Cheesman inc along with a soil analist designed a system suitsble for the site. Each site presents different challengs. A Presby elevated sand mound system was chosen. Also this site required a permitter drain tile around the sand system at a depth of 24”-32”. Due to a high ground water table
This is to remove the groundwater to keep the area of the septic drainage dry. This system also contained a 1,000 gal septic holding tank. And a 1,000 gallon pumping tank. A lift pump was required to pump the septic water to the elevated sand mount.
Septic systems in Indiana are designed by number of bedrooms and soil testing.
Not every septic is the same.

One of our great Crews installing a Presby septic system. This is on a new home site. Cheesman inc. is certified through IOWPA. Indiana Onsite Wastewater Professionals Association. Crew leaders attend annual classes to keep up on the latest technology and codes for septic system’s in Indiana. Presby is one of many styles of system’s we install.

Customer called in with a sewer line backing up. Crews ran the Roto rooter and sewer camera in line. Line appeared to be compromised. After consulting with the customer. It was decided to excavate around suspected trouble area. Found improper connections and collapsed pipe. Replaced section and added clean-out for easier inspection in future.

It’s been a Very cold week. Our dedicated crews continued on the job despite the sub freezing temperatures. We are very proud of our employees. They bring experience and good craftsmanship to every project.

The time is near for the Annual West Point Community Fish Fry!
Please join us on Saturday, September 28th from 4:30pm to 7:00pm to enjoy some good food and great company.

If you would like to donate dessert to the event, please swing by on Friday, September 27th starting at 5:30pm or Saturday morning from 8:00 to 11:00. We are always amazed by all of the people who so kindly make and deliver desserts to us for the big day! We appreciate you!

We are also desperately in need of volunteers to help with setting up for the fish fry, helping during the event and tear down and clean up after.
Unfortunately, our list of helpers becomes smaller and smaller every year. If we want to continue to have a fish fry every year, we need your help!

Replacement of a section of sewer line. Tree roots caused several blockages.
Updated this section with pvc pipe and added a cleanout access.
