Norcon is hiring for a Construction Project Manager / Estimator:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
• Possess working knowledge of all projects plans, specifications, contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals and all other project related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
• Develop a project schedule. Once schedule is developed and sequenced update and maintain, communicate, and manage all subcontractors and vendors to the schedule.
• Maintain positive and respectful relationships with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
• Review and expedite RFI’s.
• Attend preconstruction and progress meetings as required.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment applications and miscellaneous invoices.
• Keep informed on and ensure that all requirements of insurance, safety, labor relations and Equal Employment Opportunity are met.
• Develop, review, approve and implement project budgets, schedules and contract bid documents.
• Assure work in place meets quality requirements of the project specifications.
Estimating and Bidding:
• Obtaining quotes from subcontractors and material vendors.
• Preparing detailed takeoffs.
• Preparing and maintaining estimating spreadsheets.
• Prebid site visits.
• Bid preparation and delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years as a project manager/estimator or related experience. Experience with WISDOT projects with concrete or concrete repair experience a plus.
• Very self-motivated, quick learner with good communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft-Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
• Ability to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.

We are seeking skilled and knowledgeable project superintendents to lead our team in executing high-quality concrete flatwork and forming projects.

As our ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete flatwork and forming and should possess a strong understanding of all aspects of concrete construction, including but not limited to grading, layout, formwork, rebar installation, concrete finishing, and curing. You should be able to read and interpret project drawings and specifications and have the ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled laborers and tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all aspects of concrete flatwork and forming projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality of standards.
• Interpret project drawings and specifications to ensure that work is completed in accordance with customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to coordinate project scheduling, material deliveries, and equipment requirements.
• Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Ensure that all work complies with company safety policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete flatwork and forming, including experience as a foreman or superintendent.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of concrete construction, including grading, layout, formwork, rebar installation, concrete finishing, and curing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and the ability to ensure that all work complies with safety regulations.
