Our next charity event for the nonprofit I run (Homesteaders for the Holidays ) has officially started! My local domestic violence center has a "women's boutique" room where they have donated clothing, shoes, and jewelry available for the women to "shop" from.
However, it was obvious that they were in need of donations. One particular need that they brought to my attention was underwear and bras. The drawers for these items that are used and donated was almost empty. This is an item I feel is really necessary to have, especially if we can get them some new cute ones. They also have a very large need for business casual clothing and shoes. The women need to be able to go to interviews and important court appointments feeling confident and professional.
I am super excited to share that we also will be introducing a "beauty bar "to the room. An area filled with makeup, face wash, and beauty products for the women to shop from. Helping them feel more confident and beautiful!
