This Summer, our Vice President and Board Certified Master Arborist, Mike Webster, performed a live demonstration on Root Collar Excavation for the Indiana Professional Lawn and Landscape Association. This procedure is incredibly underutilized in our industry and provides so many trees a second chance after identifying an issue at the ground level. Which is treeeemendously too common in today’s landscape. Sharing our knowledge is a passion we take great pride in at Xanderbuilt. We are here to help!!!

Early this week our team took down this Veteran Hackberry at Crown Hill Cemetery. This tree was becoming a hazard to the site with advanced rot and decay forming along the main trunk as well as multiple defects around the structural components of the tree. Considering its sensitive location, trying to preserve this tree was not a reasonable option. Xanderbuilt was called in as a trusted resource to help with this large task. All went smooth and the risk has been mitigated. A grand total of 91,500 pounds of bio mass was calculated!! Great job team!!
