🦕 Meet a tree that dinosaurs may have walked beneath.
The Dawn Redwood isn't just another shade tree—it's a living piece of history.
🌲 Imagine telling your kids and grandkids, "The ancestors of this tree once shaded dinosaurs." Now that's history growing right in your own backyard!
Over 100 million years ago, the ancestors of today's Dawn Redwoods were already towering over the landscape while dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
🦴 For decades, scientists believed the Dawn Redwood had gone completely extinct. They only knew it from fossils... until living trees were discovered in a remote valley in China in the 1940s, making it one of the greatest botanical discoveries of the 20th century.
🍂 Even more unique, it's one of the few redwoods that loses its soft, feathery needles each fall before putting on a fresh display every spring.
When you plant a Dawn Redwood, you're not just planting a shade tree—you're planting a living fossil and a conversation piece with a story that's more than 100 million years in the making.
