This job turned into a little more than originally anticipated. We ended up removing and replacing the rotted 2 ply header beam over the garage. We installed a new 2 ply beam, plywood, moisture barrier, foam board insulation and wrapped the trim in new aluminum.

We replaced roughly 40 feet of rotted sill plate at this home. There was no crawlspace or basement below this section of the home which complicated the jacking up process. We replaced the rotted sill plates, sistered 2x4 framing and floor joists. We removed a paver patio which sat to high allowing moisture to constantly affect the framing of the home. New siding will be installed this week.
