• Repairs & Replacements- At J&J, we specialize in Backflow services for over 30 years, giving us some of the most experience in the industry. In an industry where parts can be scarce, we keep a huge inventory of parts on hand so our technicians can perform most repairs quickly, and usually in the same day
• Test Reports and Permits. We will file your test reports to the appropriate city or town for you. we also procure all necessary permits for jobs as required so you don't have to!
• Annual Notice. As our customer we will notify you each year of your testing requirements per your city or town ordinances. This is one less thing for you to worry about each year.
• We always offer Free Estimates for any work

Why do backflow preventers need to be tested? The state of New York department of Public Health requires all testable backflow preventers are to be tested soon after installation, at no more than twelve month intervals after that, and after any repairs. What is a backflow preventer? A backflow preventer is a device that prevents backflow through a cross connection. What is backflow? Backflow is the undesirable reversal of flow of water or other substances such as solids, liquids, or gas through a cross connection into the public water system or consumers potable water system. What is a cross connection? A cross connection is an actual or potential connection between a public water system and any other source or system through which it is possible to introduce into the water system any contaminating or polluting agent. We do it all! We are confined space certified. All of our tripods system kits include components and a winch or self-retracting lifeline (SRL) that work together to raise, lower, and retrieve workers.
