We already knew Cody was a good guy. Then we heard what happened in Nebraska. ❤️

On his way to the airport after a job site visit, our project manager Cody came across a serious car accident.

He pulled over and found a woman unconscious, badly injured and trapped by her seat belt inside a burning vehicle. Cody didn't hesitate. He cut through her seat belt and pulled her from the car to safety.

He missed his flight that day, but we're so glad he stopped.

We couldn't let this story go by without giving Cody the recognition he deserves.

Cody, what an incredible thing you did. We're grateful you were there when she needed someone, and lucky to have you on our team.

Let's show Cody some love!

Other parents: “What a beautiful project!”

Tiffany and Joel: “Wonder who's running the job?”

A perfectly normal Parents Weekend tour at Pepperdine University… until you bring along two general contractors.

While visiting their daughter, our CEO Tiffany Azelc and President Joel Anzelc got a behind-the-scenes look at The Mountain Arena, Pepperdine's new arena, and other construction projects on campus. They were there as parents, but we're pretty sure they were also mentally reviewing the punch list.

Special thanks to Pepperdine and Assistant Vice Chancellor Raoul Perez for the personal tour and for letting our two GCs be parents for the day.

Mostly. 😉

Some people see an empty field. We see what's possible. 🌱

Creating a place where people want to live, work and spend time takes more than a construction plan. It takes understanding the bigger vision.

Our Project Manager, Jamal Johnson, joined CREW Dallas for its 'From Dirt to Destination' industry lunch, exploring how master-planned communities are changing commercial real estate. A good reminder that understanding the bigger picture helps us keep our clients' goals in focus.

The event also honored this year's scholarship recipients. Congratulations to these future industry professionals! We can't wait to see what you accomplish.

Thanks to CREW Dallas for bringing everyone together!

A thought from our CEO, Tiffany Anzelc.

A successful project isn’t just about what gets built. It’s also about what it’s like to own it while it’s being built.

Did you know what was happening? Were issues raised early? Did the team make your job easier, not harder?

Those are the questions I want our clients to think about, and the ones we’re carrying with us as we look toward the end of the year and begin planning for next year.

I’m grateful for every client who trusted us with a project this year, and for the team and partners who helped us deliver on that trust.

Some things from 1976 aged better than others. We’d like to think ASI is one of them. 😉

One very used truck, a willingness to take on just about any job and a whole lot of hard work. That's how ASI got its start 50 years ago!

We've come a long way since then, and as we continue through our anniversary year, we thought it'd be fun to share a little of our history.

Take a look! 👇

From pasta to punches, the ASI team covered a lot of ground this week! The ASI team kicked things off at an Italian-inspired gala with CREW Inland Empire supporting scholarships for the next generation of commercial real estate pros. Then we headed to Costa Mesa for Night at the Fights to catch up with friends from across the industry.

Thanks to everyone who made both nights so much fun. This CREW community knows how to show up!

Picture renovating 13 floors of a 28-story office building while hundreds of people are still showing up to work in it every day.

That was the job at Renaissance Tower in downtown Sacramento, where ASI completed nearly 198,000 square feet of renovations and tenant improvements for the California Department of Conservation. We did it in six phases, and the building never closed.

Some floors had blackout dates when they couldn't be shut down at all, so our crew planned every step around the people working there.

The Department has since moved on, but whenever we're in Sacramento and drive by, someone says, "We worked on that." After 50 years in business, that never gets old.

Is there a building you point out every time you pass it? Tell us in the comments

Two of our seasoned team members were on-site checking in on progress as interior work gets underway on this ground-up build.

A lot is happening inside now, and judging by the smiles, it's not a bad day to be out in the field.

A few days in Miami and some big conversations about what’s changing in business.
Our CEO Tiffany Anzelc joined leaders from across the country at the 2026 CREW Network Convention, where AI, leadership, problem-solving and investing in people were all part of the conversation.

These are conversations we’re having at ASI too, which made this year’s convention especially relevant.

Please help us welcome Brittany Mason to the ASI team!

Construction runs in the family. Brittany’s grandfather was an elevator mechanic who helped build the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and she went on to build her own career in project management.

For Brittany, good projects come down to knowing your people and keeping your word. That sounds a lot like ASI.

Welcome, Brittany!
