Safety is a responsibility we take seriously and one that starts with our people.

At the 2026 AGC Florida East Coast Safety Excellence Summit & Awards in Palm Beach, KAST Construction was recognized with the National AGC Safety Award for an excellent safety record, achieving a zero incident rate across 275,000+ work hours.

We’re also proud to celebrate Blake Bryant, who was recognized as the Chapter Safety Manager of the Year.

With Mike MacDonald serving as a Board Officer and Blake Bryant and Omar Estrada contributing to the Safety Committee, safety remains a shared commitment across our team.

A lot is moving at Alton Biscayne.

Roofing, stucco, sitework and MEP production are progressing across the project, while work on the townhomes is getting underway and the elevator shafts are ready for installation.

The 12-story residential building and adjacent parking garage are continuing to take shape in the heart of Miami.

We have many moving parts and one team keeping it all moving forward.

A well-deserved recognition for one of our own.

KAST Senior Superintendent Julio Leon was recognized as one of ABC Florida Gulf Coast’s 2026 Hard Hat Heroes during a special pregame ceremony at the Tampa Bay Rays game last week.

The program celebrates the people in the field who lead crews, solve problems, mentor others, and show up every day with skill, professionalism, and dedication to the work.

We’re proud to see Julio recognized alongside 19 other construction professionals who represent the people behind the projects shaping Tampa Bay.

This 264-unit affordable and workforce housing community will bring one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, along with a pool, playgrounds, green spaces, computer labs, and other amenities designed to support the people who will call this community home.

As construction moves forward, we’re proud to be part of a project that is helping create more attainable housing and lasting opportunity in St. Petersburg.

Our Tampa preconstruction team spent time in the kitchen at Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay in St. Pete, preparing a meal for families staying close to their children while they receive medical care.

A big thank you to Will, Sheng, Clay, Ryan, Troy, George, Scott, and Aaron for showing up and serving up a meal for families who need a little extra support during a difficult time.

On Friday, September 11, KAST received the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) for Block 70 at Sundy Village, marking an important step toward bringing this project to completion.
