Fourex Surface Restoration takes pride in restoring outdoor teak and ipe furniture, doors, decks, docks, pergolas, trellises, yachts, boats and other wood surfaces. Driven by his passion for woodworking, he decided to restore and enhance the beauty of outdoor teak furniture, doors, decks, docks, and other wooden surfaces. His vision was to build a team of highly skilled professionals committed to
serving homeowners, resorts, condominium and apartment complexes, government agencies, and yacht owners, offering exceptional surface restoration with an unwavering focus on the details that matter. Hunter’s passion for woodworking began in 1992 as a camper at Camp Pasquaney in New Hampshire, where he was introduced to the craft. That summer, he crafted a baseball bat on a lathe from a raw block of ash wood, an experience that left a lasting impression and a sense of accomplishment. In 2017, during a career transition, he rekindled his passion by enrolling in woodworking classes, which inspired him to purchase his own tools and set up a workshop in his garage. Over the years, he has created a wide range of pieces, from bowls and boxes to various types of furniture—and his greatest passion: electric guitars. Today, Hunter has turned his love for woodworking into a thriving business, restoring wood products to near-new condition. It’s the perfect example of turning a passion into a profession.
