Hi,👋, we’re Clean Sweep Hydroblasting, Inc. For nearly 40 years, we’ve used our field-earned expertise in hydroblasting and hydrodemolition to perform all kinds of surface preparation and concrete remediation projects, from paint and coating removals to cutting concrete (and even helping prep a few rockets in between). No matter the project, the motto is the same: “We only leave work we’re willing to put our name on.”

Just like no amount of PR could turn a Prius into a Ford GT, the same can be said for pressure cleaners and hydroblasters. Read below to find out why:

💧Saying a hydroblaster is a pressure cleaner because they both use water and pressure is like saying a Ford GT is a Prius because they both have tires and steering wheels.

💧Hydroblasting equipment, like the Ford GT, takes a lot of horsepower, skill, and technical knowledge to operate safely; you can’t rent one just anywhere. But pressure cleaners and Priuses, on the other hand, can be used/rented by pretty much anyone with a driver’s license and a garden hose.

💧It doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the Prius/pressure cleaner; it’s just that they aren’t the same or used for the same purpose as a Ford GT/hydroblaster. Driving a Prius as a daily driver makes sense but you’d be laughed off the track if you tried to drive it at Le Mans. The same is true for pressure cleaners; they’re great for simple cleaning projects but stand zero chance of stripping industrial coatings or cutting concrete.

💧We’re hydroblasters. And the only pressure cleaner you’ll see in our yard is the one we use to clean our equipment when it comes back in from a project.

What can we say? we can’t help it that we stop traffic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

⚠️ even though our fully mobile hydroblasters and Aquajet North America Aquacutters are able to safely cut concrete AND operate next to passing vehicles, people still stop and stare. We’re used to it.

⚠️And performing under pressure is kind of a trade requirement when you’re used to running equipment that pushes 25 GPM and 20,000 PSI out of a nozzle the size of an eraser head.

Maybe they should call the sequel, “The Devil Wears Steel Toe Boots”?

But really, don’t fall behind the trend by using outdated, messy methods for surface preparation. For too long people have relied on abrasive blasting for surface preparation because it’s seen as the only option; but it’s not! Hydroblasting blows abrasive blasting out of the water (pun intended).

efficiently removes old paint and coatings down to the original substrate without creating scilica dust or flying debris. Which means you are able to see spalls, repair them and remove bad stucco, and are left with a perfectly bondable surface which will get you the full life of your coatings.
