Twenty-five years of residential work across Los Angeles gives you a particular fluency - in the neighborhoods, the hillside conditions, the permitting realities, and the design history that shapes what clients are drawn to.

Our Classics portfolio spans the architectural traditions of Southern California: Spanish Colonial, mid-century, historically informed residential work, all handled with the same attention to light and site that runs through everything we do.

Color and texture are two of the most direct ways we shape how a space feels to be in.

Texture introduces complexity you sense before you name it. Honed stone underfoot, white oak overhead, a woven fabric that absorbs sound and settles a room. Color determines where the eye moves, how a space reads at different times of day, and how light behaves across a surface from morning to evening.

In our projects, neither is chosen in isolation. Both answer to the light the site provides and the way the client lives in the space.

Renderings let us show the exact views out of a specific window, how afternoon light moves through a room, and how materials read together at full scale. Our River Lane client came to us with no clear direction. When he saw the rendering, he wanted to match it as closely as possible in the final build.

That kind of clarity early in the process changes everything. https://tinyurl.com/28cc7ztf

In 2024, we were featured in Kitchen & Bath Design News in an article by Gold called "Shining a Light on Flex Spaces."

The piece explores how flex rooms, once called bonus rooms, have become a genuine part of how people design and live in their homes. The pandemic accelerated it, but the underlying shift was already happening.

We have been designing for this kind of adaptability for years. In our Latimer project, the kitchen island includes a ch*****ne sink: one feature, one footprint, two very different uses depending on the time of day.
