Congratulations to Tanisha McKinley on being recognized by McGough as a "Safety Champion" during Safety Week out at our Ellendale project site. 🏆
In just four months as a Safety Technician with Magnum Electric, Tanisha has already made a strong impact through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to keeping our crews safe every day.
We appreciate the incredible work you’re doing out in the field and are proud to have you representing the Magnum standard. ⚡
⭐️ What does safety mean to you?
"Safety means being my brothers’ and sisters’ keeper. It’s having the courage to do what’s right, even when no one is watching. I view safety as a culture – something we choose every day. Safety is holding myself accountable and holding others to that same standard. It’s about communicating effectively, building rapport, and teaching first – rather than approaching situations in a condescending or disciplinary manner."
⭐️ What’s your favorite part of being a safety technician?
"My favorite part of being a Safety Technician is knowing that the work I do helps make sure everyone goes home safe to their families at the end of the day. I enjoy building relationships with crews, anticipating hazards before they become incidents and creating a culture where people look out for one another. Safety isn’t just about rules to me, it’s about integrity, accountability, and protecting people while still helping the job get done the right way."
