Josh Smook, General Manager for the past 10 years, has taken the reins from Todd and Lori Funfar who started Deckmasters 34 years ago. Yesterday I was able to wrap up this deck and pergola. It was fun to change it up and build with cedar, it's been a while since the last one.

After digging holes and setting posts for a couple of days, it sure was nice to get out the saws today and crank out some framing for this new deck build. It was great to be able to end the week with something tangible to look at instead of just seeing a bunch of posts sticking out of the ground. Have a great weekend everyone!

I finished the last couple pieces of railing on the project last week so this one is done! They didn't use their old deck very often because this corner of the house doesn't get a break from full sun at any point in the day. Now, with the roof, fan, and lights, not to mention all the decking and railing, this has become a place that draws you in to have a seat.

Another small little for the build is coming together. I like having a little leeway to add in small details that make this home really .

It may be a little colder than usual for November, but that didn't stop me from finishing up this deck with a clean modern feel to it. Azek coastline and dark hickory decking, cable rail, and a great plains pergola in a brand new color to top this deck off.

All wrapped up! Trex island mist decking with a mix of black aluminum pickets and stainless cable railing. I love bringing the design concept to real life and adding in my own little touch on some of the finer details along the way to really make the finished product shine!

The stair framing is all covered up, and I couldn't be more CLAD! 😂😂 Alright, my dad jokes may be bad, but this deck is looking sharp!
