Why is a home builder running a pet election?
Fair question. We build houses around Fargo, and we say, on our website and in our office and to anyone who will listen, that we don't just build homes, we build community.
That is an easy thing to say. Every builder says something like it. So this fall we stopped saying it and did something instead. There's plenty of serious stuff happening in the world. We thought our community could use something delightfully unserious.
Nobody is selling you anything in there. There is no form asking about your housing plans. Pets are a big part of what makes a home, home, and a pet election is a small, silly, deliberate way of saying so.
If you value companies that value community, keep us in mind. That is the entire pitch, and you have now read all of it.
