In celebration of Architecture Week 2026, RLE wants to share how we host high school students for job shadowing and career exploration in architecture.

Through hands-on job shadowing and conversations with our team, students gained a behind-the-scenes look at the architectural profession - from design concepts to real-world projects. Experiences like these help spark curiosity, build awareness, and inspire the next generation of architects and designers.

We’re excited to be part of building the pipeline for the future of our profession.

🎳 Strikes for a Cause! 🎳

Our Volunteer Culture Team had a great time supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters Fargo at Bowl for Kids’ Sake at King Pinz!

This high-energy, afternoon bowling event is about much more than knocking down pins - it helps raise critical funds to recruit and vet volunteer mentors for more than 60 local kids currently waiting for a “Big.”

With teamwork, laughter, and a whole lot of friendly competition, we were proud to bowl alongside other community-minded teams (including Office Sign Company!) to support a mission that truly makes a difference.

Grateful to be part of a community that shows up, gives back, and has fun doing it. 💙

Our Director of Contract Administration and Forensics, Donovan Larson, had a fantastic year in #2025 engaging with the students and leadership at North Dakota State University.

Being an Adjunct Professor of Architecture in the North Dakota State University School of Design, Architecture and Art was both enriching and exciting.

One of RLE’s core Values is Leadership. We have a progressive mindset, seeking continuous improvement within the industry. We value and encourage personal growth, and the achievement of individual, team, and company goals. Teaching these students for Donovan was inspiring and he felt privileged to help foster the next generation of design professionals!

One of our staff members here at RLE attended the RCC Conference in 2025, where she immersed herself in the latest trends shaping architecture and design. One theme that stood out: placing stores in unique, non-traditional locations to spark curiosity and encourage exploration. Thoughtful design invites shoppers to slow down, discover, and truly engage with their surroundings and that’s the kind of experience we strive to create in every project.

We’re excited to share that Dan Zitzow of RLE has taken on the role of Associate Director for AIA North Dakota beginning January 2026. 🎉

In this position, Dan will help ensure associate members continue to have representation and a voting seat on the AIA ND Board. Dan will have the opportunity to spark change and growth within the AIA ND Chapter and ensure young professionals have a voice.

We’re proud that he will be able to contribute his voice, leadership, and dedication to the profession.
