Psyched to get this under deck drainage system installed between the summer rains we've had this week, with more in the forecast! ☔ This is an awesome upgrade if you have or want to have a patio below a deck to expand your outdoor living space, allowing you to embrace the natural experiences in a little more comfort! Who doesn't love watching the lightning displays ⚡ or the refreshing cleanse of a misty drizzle or the soothing sounds of a solid down pour?! Enjoy them alone with a book, journal or meditation pillow, or cozy with your lovelies!

Theres an old saying "a bad carpenter blames his tools." Or "the tools don't make the carpenter." But there is a point when knowing what the right tool for the job is and a good carpenter in my opinion is one who is resourceful, curious, creative and open to learning ways and tools that can make a job more accurate and more efficient. More efficient can look like less customer interruption. More efficient can look like less wear and tear on your body. More efficient can look like more work in less time allowing you to enjoy what you love, whether that's more work or more play.
Broke out the rotary laser level and receiver to mark a common accurate level height across 12 posts over 100 feet in all of 5 minutes including setup.

Trick of the Trade Tuesdyy : Pros use paper tape! And not just for drywall joints!
I use it as note paper for scribbling down measurements when I take off a room full of baseboard and head down to the saw to cut. Or to scribble down a punch list of things to do. Or my favorite use might be as a story "pole"! Being that it comes on rolls hundreds of feet long and costs nothing (drywallers allllways seem to leave a roll or two, and only literally 2$ at the store if you do have to buy it), I use it as a live working template for marking layout of hinges to mortise out a new slab to existing jamb, flooring mock ups for tile or hardwood planks to see where they'll land around doorways and obstacles, siding layout, cabinetry layouts - you name it. Simply roll it up and take it to the shop, and you get precise layouts every time without actually even having to measure, removing that human error and the forsaken m word... ..that ends in ..ath. Fast, efficient, easy, and accurate!
