Did a dryer vent cleaning yesterday in West Chester. Came across this conviction to open up her dryer as well. What I found was shocking. Burnt lint by the components. Starting to implement Blower Motor HVAC cleaning as a side-service. This customers fan blades were very dirty, causing wear & tear on their system. I decided to take the extra step and pull this out of their unit, free of charge. A contaminated/dirty blower can reduce performance of your fan by at least 20%. No job too big! Old material needed to be swapped out with 4" galvanized steel pipe.

Had the pleasure of rebuilding this clients dryer vent in Paoli, PA. The old material was out of code & was ripped in between the trusses underneath the second floor. I decided on a different approach. Using the existing attic space, we ran 4" galvanized steel piping through the joist bay and out the soffit.

Sometimes you have to army crawl under the deck to access the dryer vent cover. At least it wasn't raining out. Next time i'll make sure to have a Tyvek suit.

You never know what you’ll find inside a dryer vent… but today’s surprise took the cake.
While cleaning a vent, I pulled out… an empty pack of ci******es.

That’s right — someone’s Marlboros went on a journey through the ductwork and never made it back.

No smoke, no fire… just a very confused technician wondering how this thing even got in there.
