Check out this piece of +- 200 year old wooden waterline we dug out in Sheldon as we are laying a new sewerline.
It doesn't look like much, but its a really neat piece of history.
Wooden waterline were the first waterlines used in colonial times.
Their use was from the late 1700's to the mid 1800's.
This one was probably from sometime in the early 1800's as it was banded, and treated.
