Owner of Unity Lawn and Landscape, Christopher James Grall, age 60, passed away in his West Blocton, AL home on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
Chris was born August 21, 1957 to Beryl Jean Grall and Robert William Grall.

Christopher was born in Cleveland Ohio. The family moved to Connecticut when Chris was five years old
and he spent most of his childhood in New England. In his early adulthood, he began stand-up comedy
and found his love for stage and theater. This passion took him to New York where he pursued his
dreams with acting and film classes. Chris had several roles in off Broadway plays, commercials and film
productions. You can enjoy watching him in “Look”, “Manhattan Chase”, “Sleepy Heads” and episode
13- Blazes of “Ghost Stories”. Although Chris left NY for Georgia to raise his family and work in the
landscape business, his love for the performing arts continued. His interest veered towards writing,
directing and producing. In 2000 Chris made it to the top 30 of Project Greenlight as a screenwriter and
director. His screenplay, “Believe You, Me” was filmed in Cartersville, GA.

Christopher is survived by his wife Angela Grall, his daughter Carissa Grall and his son Zachary Grall.
Other survivors are Chris’s mother Beryl Grall, his four brothers, Robert (Grall) Blade, Stephen Grall,
Mark Grall, Matthew Grall and three sisters, Pamela Mattis, Kimberly Grall and Lizbeth Grall. He is also
survived by his soulmate, Ryan Reynolds, whom he hopes will mourn him deeply.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Robert William Grall.

Chris was a vibrant, charismatic personality, “to know him is to love him”, defines this cherished man.
Chris loved his family with all his heart and showered these affections every day. The family is
heartbroken. Christopher James Grall will be warmly remembered and missed by all who knew and
loved him.

The family will receive friends at his Celebration of Life and reception on September 22, 2018, 3:00 p.m.
