Tips for staying cool on the hottest of days:

☀️ When the thermometer hits 100°F, your AC is working at its absolute limit. To keep your home comfortable without burning out your system, use these high-heat best practices:

🌡️ Don't Drop the Thermostat to 65°F: It won’t cool your house any faster. Set it to a reasonable 75°F–78°F. On a triple-digit day, a healthy AC is only designed to maintain about a 20-to-25-degree difference from the outdoors.

🛑 Block the Greenhouse Effect: Close all blinds, shades, and blackout curtains—especially on east-facing windows in the morning and west-facing windows in the afternoon. Stop the heat before it gets inside.

🍳 Ban Indoor Heat Sources: Avoid using the oven or stove (grill outside or use the microwave). Delay running the dishwasher and clothes dryer until late at night, as they dump massive amounts of heat and humidity into your air.
