Those little vampires show up uninvited every single year and honestly we are tired of it.

Before you reach for the chemicals here are some natural ways to fight back:
🌿 Plant lavender, citronella, lemon balm, basil and marigolds in your yard. Pretty AND functional. 🌸

🕯️ Burn citronella candles around your patio. They actually work and they smell amazing.

☕ Sprinkle coffee grounds around standing water to stop larvae from hatching. Who knew your morning routine was also pest control. 😄

🧄 Garlic spray on your lawn and plants keeps mosquitos away. Also keeps vampires away. Two birds. 😂

💧 Eliminate standing water anywhere in your yard. Birdbaths, clogged gutters, flower pot trays. Mosquitos need less than an inch of water to breed.

🍋 Cut a lemon in half, stick cloves in it and set around your patio. Old school but it works.

Here are garden tips that actually work for the non gardener:
🌸 Start with perennials — They come back every year without you having to do anything. Plant it and forget it. Our kind of gardening.
☀️ Read the tag — Full sun means full sun. Shade means shade. This is where most people go wrong. The plant told you what it needed. Listen to it. 😄
💧 Overwatering kills more plants than underwatering — When in doubt, do less. Your plant is not thirsty, it is drowning.
🪨 Mulch is your best friend — It holds moisture, keeps weeds down, and makes everything look intentional even when it is not. 😂
🌿 Plant in odd numbers — Three or five of the same plant looks intentional. Two looks like you ran out of money.
🐛 Embrace the imperfection — A real garden has a little chaos. That is how you know it is alive.

You bought a newer home. Maybe 5 years old. Maybe 10. You figured the windows were fine.

Like the absolute floor of what a window can be. 😅

They are designed to pass inspection and keep costs down. That is it. That is their whole personality.

🍽️ Friday Night Sorted. You Are Welcome. 😄

Spring is winding down, the grill is calling, and nobody wants to be stuck inside cooking for hours.

This one takes 20 minutes and tastes like you tried really hard. 😄

Honey Garlic Shrimp Skewers 🍤
What you need:
✅ 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
✅ 3 tablespoons honey
✅ 3 cloves garlic minced
✅ 2 tablespoons soy sauce
✅ 1 tablespoon olive oil
✅ Juice of one lemon
✅ Salt and pepper to taste
✅ Skewers (soak wooden ones in water first)

What you do:
✅ Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil and lemon together
✅ Toss shrimp in the marinade and let sit 15 minutes
✅ Thread onto skewers
✅ Grill 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred
✅ Devour immediately and accept all compliments 😄

Serve over rice, on a salad, or honestly just straight off the skewer standing at the grill. No judgment. 🙌

The internet has approximately 47 million home hacks.
Most of them are nonsense. 😅

Here are the ones that are actually worth your time:

🪟 Rub a dryer sheet on your window screens to repel bugs. Yes really.
🚿 Clean your showerhead by filling a bag with white vinegar and rubber banding it overnight. Game changer.
🕯️ Run a candle along a sticky drawer or door to make it slide like new.
🧊 Put an ice cube on a carpet dent from furniture. It fluffs right back up. Witchcraft. 😂
🪣 Drop a couple of golf balls in your dryer with a flat pillow. Fluffy again in 20 minutes.
🧴 Rubbing alcohol removes permanent marker from almost any surface. File that one away for the parents. 😄
🌿 Put a rubber band around a stripped screw before using your screwdriver. You are welcome.
