We haven't posted in awhile but we have been busy in the shop. Remember we sharpen several different things. The main items we sharpen are chainsaw chains, mower blades and circular saw blades. We also have new saw chains in stock if you need a new one. We can also repair chains. We sharpen chains to factory specs. We can order new mower blades if yours can't be sharpened.
Some of the other items we can sharpen are tree trimmers, hedge clippers, clothing scissors and knives.
We are located are 1614 North H Street in Wellington, Kansas. You can contact us at 316-651-7363 with any questions. We are in the shop most evenings and weekends as this is a part-time business. We have a dropbox that you can use to drop your items off at anytime. There are tags and a pen in the dropbox so you can leave your name and phone number with your items.
We look forward to helping you with your sharpening needs.

Mowing season is here. Remember, a dull blade tears and damages the grass instead of slicing it. Bring your blades and let us sharpen them so you can have a good looking yard. We are located at 1614 N H Street here in Wellington.

Thought I would take a few minutes and tell you about myself and Parkey Sharpening Service. My name is Harold Parkey and I am the owner of Parkey Sharpening Service here in Wellington, Kansas. I am married to Holly and we have 5 children. Alot of people know us as the triplet girls parents. I was raised in Mulvane, Kansas and graduated from MHS in 1993. I attended Butler Community College and recieved an AA in Fire Science. While in college I worked at O'dell and Son Mower Shop working on all types of small engines. I worked for the City of Mulvane Parks and Street departments for about 3 years.
In February 1998 I began my full-time Firefighting career with Wellington Fire/EMS. I spent the next 28 years there until I retired in April 2025.
I opened Parkey Sharpening Service in 2013 because there was a local need. I sharpen chainsaw chains, mower blades, circular saw blades, knives and many other tools. This has always been a part time business on my days off.
Though I retired I do still have a full-time job working on a local farm. I am in the shop most evenings and Saturdays. I have a dropbox at the shop that you can drop your items off in. I check it every evening. The shop is located at 1614 North H in Wellington. Our house is just south of the shop.
I would be happy to help you with any of your sharpening needs. You can call or text me at 316-651-7363 with any questions.
