This outdoor kitchen space is coming along nicely!

Since our last update, brick has been placed by our partners at Sanchez Masonry, adding a beautiful finished look while also providing some much-needed protection from that western Oklahoma afternoon sun.

Next up—countertops! We’re excited to see this outdoor entertainment space continue to take shape and can’t wait to share the finished project.

Did you know Matt Burd Construction does commercial projects, too?

We’ve shared several of our residential builds, but MBC’s experience doesn’t stop at custom homes. We also take on commercial construction and remodeling projects, helping local businesses create functional, quality spaces built to last.

And speaking of the business side of MBC, meet our newest team member, Torri Burd!

Torri joined the team in May as our office assistant and marketing manager. After nearly 20 years in the senior care industry, she was ready to step away from the corporate world and invest more of her time and energy into the family business, her family, and the community.

Throughout her career, Torri has always focused on how her role can help create the best customer experience possible, and she hopes to bring that same approach to MBC. Building or remodeling a home or business is a major undertaking, and her goal is to help make the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Behind the scenes, Torri also helps keep day-to-day tasks moving so Matt and the crew can stay focused on what matters most—our customers, vendors, and projects.

When she’s not working, Torri enjoys spending time with her family, whether that’s relaxing at home, heading to the lake, or cheering on their kids at the many activities they’re involved in.

We’re excited to have Torri officially join the MBC team and look forward to continuing to grow the business while staying focused on the people and community we serve.

This custom home is coming together beautifully!

Since our last update, the exterior has made some exciting progress. Our MBC framing crew has completed the framing and house wrap, giving the home its finished shape, while our trusted partners at New Roofing Inc. have installed the roof.

Inside, the next phase is already in motion as the team at Brent Rosenkranz Electric LLC is hard at work on the electrical rough-in.

It’s always rewarding to see each stage build on the last, and we’re grateful for the skilled trade partners who help bring our clients’ dream homes to life.

Every custom home, commercial building, remodel, and outdoor living space we complete is the result of skilled craftsmen who take pride in creating something built to last. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of those team members—David Margerum.

David has been with Matt Burd Construction for one year, and from day one, he was drawn to the satisfaction of working with his hands and building something that will stand the test of time.

His favorite part of the job is watching a project come together from the ground up and knowing he played a role in bringing it to life. He also appreciates working alongside a crew that shares the same commitment to quality and teamwork.

When he’s away from the job site, David enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and being outdoors.

David says one of the things he’s most grateful for is being part of a team that takes pride in doing quality work and building homes and buildings that families and businesses can enjoy for years to come.
