🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM LITTLE BUCKS 🚨

After weeks of drought, dust, and staring suspiciously at every cloud that passed over Pulaski County…

THE AIRDROP HAS ARRIVED. 🌧️🫡

We’re sitting at 0.25” of rain so far, it is currently POURING, the wind is gusting, and reinforcements appear to still be coming.

The grass has emerged from its foxhole.
The mower has been placed on standby.
Local puddles are reporting for duty.

After a long and brutal siege, morale is improving rapidly.

PATTON IS COMING. 😂🌧️

SITUATION REPORT — BASTOGNE, MISSOURI
(a.k.a. Waynesville)

Pat… pat… pat…

The rain striking the roof of the truck begins to slow.

Pat…

…pat…

Then nothing.

The cab falls quiet.

I stare through the windshield at the wet ground—the only evidence the supply drop ever happened.

The aircraft are gone.

Outside, somewhere in the yard, a single blade of Missouri grass slowly lifts its head.

Not enough rain to break the siege.

Not enough to change the war.

But enough to remind us…

We’re not forgotten.

The men are tired.
The lawns are thirsty.
The ground is hard.

But Bastogne still holds.

Tomorrow, somewhere beyond the horizon, the Third Army is moving.

Hold, boys.

Patton is coming. 🫡🌧️⛈️

🚨 SITUATION REPORT: MISSOURI — SEPTEMBER 2026 🚨

The drought has us surrounded.

The yards are brown.
The ground is cracked.
Morale is deteriorating.

But today… we heard aircraft.

🌧️ A small rain shower broke through the lines and made the first supply drop into our besieged position.

Was it enough to end the drought? No.

Was it enough to remind us that somewhere beyond the horizon, help still exists?

Absolutely.

We ration the rainfall. We reinforce the flower beds. We tell the grass to hold the line.

Because intelligence reports that Patton is coming.

⛈️ Tomorrow, the storms are supposed to break through.

Until then:

HOLD BASTOGNE.

Hold for the lawns.
Hold for the gardens.
Hold for every blade of grass that hasn’t completely surrendered and turned into crunchy brown shrapnel.

Today’s shower was the airdrop.

Tomorrow, Patton arrives.

🌧️🫡 HELP IS ON THE WAY. HOLD THE LINE.

🐍 FIRST SNAKE OF THE SEASON! 🐍

Honestly, I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to find the first one.

Did it surprise me? Yes.
Did I have a small heart attack? Also yes. 😂

I’m perfectly fine with snakes—as long as I see them first. It’s when they come popping out of the bushes unannounced that we have problems.

Pretty sure the last person in my family to get surprised by something coming out of thick vegetation like that was my uncle in Vietnam… and I don’t believe he enjoyed it much either. 🇺🇸😂

Anyway, snake went his way, I went mine, and my heart rate has returned to somewhere below hummingbird.

Just another day with Lil Buck Mowing. 🦌
