Dormant Season Pruning is the topic, and we're proud to share that Merrifield Garden & Design will be expanding our winter pruning offerings to bring even more value to our clients' properties. 🌱❄️

🌱 Dividing & Transplanting: Giving established plants space to spread and thrive.
✂️ Editing & Pruning: Trimming back growth and removing overly aggressive species.
🪴 Adding New Additions: Additional color, texture, and interest.
🛠️ Rehab & Renovation: Improving soil and layout to set next year's garden up for success.

We’re spending three full days diving deep into the tech that powers our design and management workflow. Investing in our systems means a smoother, elevated experience for both our clients and our team—and a smarter business overall.

✂️ Winter Interest vs. Winter Serenity: To Cut or Not to Cut? 🌾

Ornamental grasses are loved for adding movement and texture to landscapes. However, for those who prefer a clean, serene winter garden, leaving grasses up can sometimes be too much of a messy sight by early to mid-January.

Our motto? Never cut back a grass without checking in with the client first! It’s a matter of personal preference, and since winters can feel long, we want to ensure our clients are looking out at a landscape they’ll truly enjoy all season long until spring arrives.
