The Outer Banks is known for its wind. It’s why the Wright brothers came here to fly the first airplane. It’s why Hatteras Island is a world famous destination for kite surfing.

The wind can be a lot of fun for some activities, but it also wrecks havoc on the homes here. One of the biggest problems is with screen porches.

Keeping them looking good is a challenge, but fear not we are here to help you keep you home or rental house looking sharp and well kept.

We only use stainless hardware and the strongest fiberglass pool and patio screen available.

Problems come up in life and in work, but especially in construction. With so many parts and pieces it’s like a puzzle. And sometimes the parts have really sh*tty instructions as well as parts that just don’t make sense.

Like these aluminum railings. Everything is going great until I realize the stair brackets are nowhere near the right angle. In hindsight I probably should’ve remembered typical stair railings are cut on a 35-37 degree angle and seen the 30 degree note in the instructions, but sometimes you just think it would be a common part. Well Murphy’s law shows up and humbles you again.

I think being ADHD really helps on these days so you can just switch gears to another task and stay productive.

Keep moving. Construction is like that.

Great clients make all the difference in any line of work, but especially in our line of work. Spending days, weeks or even months working close with clients can be a roller coaster experience where communication is paramount. And the communication is a 2 way street, equally important for all parties involved.

Receiving a review like this makes all the emails, texts and videos so worth it.

Quick build of a 8x12 shed here in Waves on Hatteras Island. Still needs to be painted to match the house, but you get the idea.

Hidden deck fasteners using Camo decking products. I really love that you can use regular wood deck boards with this system and completely change and upgrade your deck.

Here at the beach on Hatteras Island we are barefoot a lot, and not having screws or nails popping up is an amazing benefit.
