Serving Auburn, Opelika & Lake Martin Alabama R&R Landscaping is a design/build landscape company serving residential and commercial customers throughout Auburn, Opelika, Lake Martin and the surrounding area. Our owners are Auburn University graduates in Horticulture and Landscape Design who provide personal and professional service to each client. Our Core Values:

Gorgeous landscapes don’t happen by accident! There are many stages of prep and planning that go into every single project. Here at R&R, we believe that beautiful designs lead to a beautiful before and after.

Our team of designers work through a process of thorough consideration when designing a space. We put thought into the little details during the design process so everything flows and functions the way it should for years to come.

Like we always say, the difference is in the details!

Its officially hydrangea season! Have you ever wondered why some hydrangeas bloom different colors? Its science!!!

Hydrangea macrophylla blooms are one of the easiest ways to see soil chemistry in action. More acidic soils tend to produce blue blooms, while higher pH soils lead to pink blooms.

So, how do you change your soil pH?? It's simple: if your blooms are pink but you want them to be blue, try adding a soil acidifier around the base of your plant and watering it in. If you want them to be pink, add a garden lime instead.

(Note that the transformation may take a year or so to take effect)

Luxury landscapes are built in the details! We had a great day of pruning last week at this beautiful property in Auburn. Spring pruning does more than improve the look of a landscape in real time— it helps build healthier, stronger growth for the seasons ahead. Proper pruning encourages structure, reduces future stress on plants, and keeps the landscape thriving year after year. We cannot wait to see how this landscape continues to thrive!

Starting the season off strong! Our Spring Kickoff brought the team together for a fun time full of learning, connection, and motivation for the season ahead. From team-building moments, to learning new things, it was a great opportunity to grow together, strengthen relationships, and get inspired. This week at R&R, we've celebrated Charlie's 20 incredible years with our company! Charlie's hard work, dedication, and leadership have made a lasting impact on everyone he has worked with from day one. He leads by example every day, and we're grateful for all he's done for our team. Congratulations on 20 years, Charlie - this milestone is worthy of celebration!

Some clients come to us with a Pinterest board. This one came back from a European garden tour with a vision.
That large arched window needed a focal point. We centered a cast concrete fountain in the herringbone brick niche, flanked it with Lomandra Breeze, and planted Scent Amazing Gardenias around the base so the space works on every level. You see it from inside the bedroom. You hear and smell it from the screened in outdoor living area.

You don't have to move to have a view worth looking at. You just need the right backyard. We loved getting to take a basic backyard and transform the experience from the inside AND outside!

Our native spring bloomers are showing off! Dogwood, Trillium, Native Azaleas, Phlox, and Fringe Trees are some of our favorites. Don't sleep on these natives, they are important to support our local ecosystem!

This little guesthouse on the water is ready for lake season! A recycled concrete pathway gives life to old material and creates a one-of-a-kind entry, indian creek pebbles create the "beach" vibe without all the upkeep, and the hammocks and firepit give us room to spread out, unplug, and enjoy. There's nothing better than summer at the lake!

We love getting to show students how much opportunity lives inside this industry! Our new friend, an AU environmental design student, spent the day with us. She visited a jobsite for plant layout, made friends with the horses next door (priorities), asked so many smart questions, and got a look into how a design/build business operates behind the curtain.
If you're going to spend a day with the team, you might as well learn how the roots and the revenue work!
