Completed a job today for a customer in Clayton NY. Customer started having issues with his dryer heating, so he bought a new dryer. When he pulled it out to unhook it he noticed the plug and receptacle were melted.
His old configuration was three wire- I changed it to the now code four wire, and even brought his new dryer in and hooked it up for him. Another satisfied customer of CTG Electric.

Customer has a disabled child that uses a wheelchair ramp. They stated everytime they touched the ramp they got shocked....

Customer has a disabled child that uses a wheelchair ramp. They stated everytime they touched the ramp they got shocked. If they plugged it in further away, they did not get shocked.
The house is old- lath and plaster walls and two wire ungrounded electrical wires.
I was able to fish new wire in the wall, and put it on its out dedicated circuit. The outlet is now GFCI protected and also protected by a weather proof cover (none of which it had before)

Today was a warm one, but with the only day in the forecast without a chance of rain, I took advantage of it to get a job done. Ran power from a house to a garage. Got off to a late start due to vehicle trouble, but got all the outside work done. Now I just need to go back tomorrow and make my connections on both ends.

I’ve been getting quite a few calls lately asking if I still do electrical now that I am back working full time on the ambulance. The answer is yes! I absolutely still do. Thank you for checking out my page. My name is Jonathan Gaines. I am a residential electrical contractor in Jefferson County NY. I have been in the electrical field since 2011. CTG Electric is named after my late son Caeden Terry who was born sleeping, and the whole reason I started studying to be an electrician- to offer him a better more stable life.
