The Pedal Power uses a bicycle-powered generator to power lights and various appliances that can be plugged into the display board to provide electrical load. As more lights and appliances are turned on it becomes harder for the person pedaling the bicycle to power the display board and the audience gets the chance to see first hand what it's like to be the power plant. The Pedal Power display provides a unique hands-on approach to learning about energy consumption.
