Can a dirty filter cause NO AC? YES!

And it happens more often than you might think!!

These are real photos from a service call last week.

Our technician responded to a commercial building that had lost air conditioning. The culprit wasn't a failed compressor or a major equipment breakdown—it was restricted airflow caused by dirty filters and worn belts. After replacing them, the unit was back up and running!!

his was a real service call. 👀

Client had no cooling during a 98° heat wave… and what we found was rough:

⚠️ Safety features had been bypassed
⚠️ Heat exchanger full of holes
⚠️ Electrical disconnect failing
⚠️ Major system deterioration

The hard truth? Most catastrophic HVAC failures don’t happen suddenly. They build over time through missed maintenance, hidden wear, and small issues nobody catches early enough.

🎉 **Happy Birthday to our Service Manager, Nick Johnson!** 🎉

If you know Nick, you know he probably doesn't want a big sappy birthday post about him... which is exactly why we're giving him one. 😂

There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes at Alltek that most people never see — and Nick is behind a whole lot of them.

He's usually one of the **first people in the office in the morning** and, more often than he probably should be, one of the **last people to stop working at night.** He cares deeply about our customers, our technicians, our team, and getting things right — even if he doesn't always say it out loud.

Nick stepped into the Service Manager role and was pretty much thrown straight into the deep end. Since then, he's handled challenges, long days, impossible schedules, emergencies, curveballs, and probably more than a few things that made him question all of his life choices. 😂 But no matter what gets thrown at him, **he keeps showing up and keeps pushing forward.**

And that's what we appreciate most.

The work ethic, loyalty, heart, and genuine care Nick brings to Alltek don't go unnoticed. He carries a tremendous amount on his shoulders, and our company and our Service Department are better because he's part of them.

**Nick, we're incredibly lucky to have you, and we hope you know how much all of us appreciate everything you do.**
