Meet Mike, our ICC Cares Director and Chaplain!

Mike has been part of the ICC family since 2013, serving in several roles along the way, including Delivery Driver, Administrative Assistant, and now his favorite role ICC Cares Director/Chaplain.

In addition to his role at ICC, Mike serves as the Pastor of New Hope Christian Fellowship, where his passion for serving and supporting others continues to make a difference both inside and outside the workplace.

Through ICC Cares, Mike spends his days building relationships, encouraging team members, praying with them through life's challenges, and reminding them that they are valued both on and off the jobsite.

When asked about his most rewarding experience, Mike shared that it's not one specific moment it's the opportunity to connect with our field teams, encourage them, and walk alongside them through life's ups and downs. And, of course, bringing donuts to the jobsite doesn't hurt either!

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, and mountain biking. Fun fact: he grew up riding dirt bikes and working on old Volkswagens in Carson City, Nevada.

Mike embodies what ICC Cares is all about supporting people beyond the work they do and living out our belief that People Matter.

Meet Steffen, one of our talented Foremen here at ICC! Steffen came onboard 6.5 years ago through the acquisition of OSI, and we’re proud to have him as part of the team.

Steffen’s passion for construction comes from his love of working with his hands and building things. He built a strong foundation in the trade by attending Oakland Technical Center for four years and continuing his education through ABC School for two years after high school. He has also worked alongside our Project Manager, Bill, in the trades professionally for the past 15 years.

One of his favorite projects at ICC has been the Kroger store in Fenton, a project that stands out in his career so far.

One of the biggest lessons Steffen has learned while working here is the importance of taking initiative, running jobs, and improving communication with others. Those experiences have helped him continue growing both personally and professionally.

What motivates him every day is the drive to keep improving, earn more, and work toward retiring early.

Outside of work, Steffen enjoys riding dirt bikes, farming, and fishing with his dad.

Fun fact you might not know: Steffen grows pumpkins every year and has an ongoing competition with his dad to grow the biggest one. His personal best is 115 lbs!

This project was all about bringing a closed restaurant back to life and the results speak for themselves. From shutdown to fully re-energized, it’s always rewarding to see a space get a second chance and come back better than ever.

Huge shoutout to KOZAK Construction, great partnership from start to finish. Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and ex*****on made this one come together the right way.

Proud of the work, proud of the team, and excited to see this place buzzing again.
