LoRusso recently completed an excavation and rock crushing job for a property owner in Plymouth CT, who plans to build his new home on this site. A blasting crew was hired before our arrival, leaving loose rock as well as some ledge still remaining over the elevation of the proposed slab. LoRusso was hired to hammer and excavate any remaining ledge, stockpile the rock, and process it into a more manageable 4" minus fill. Our signature MEGABITE mobile crusher chewed through the rock while maneuvering around the site effortlessly as we made a series of small piles directed closely to the areas that needed fill. The material was spread out nicely by the owner to fill in part of the property. This was yet another job where mobile crushing proved to be the more economical option rather than loading trucks and hauling the rock offsite only to haul back fill of the same quality.
