FOLLOW FRIDAY | Fall mornings in Maine.

There's something about a sunrise over a Maine lake this time of year. The cooler mornings, the changing leaves, and that little reminder to slow down and appreciate where we live.

Of course, slowing down isn't exactly what's happening on our calendar right now!

We recently stopped by the home of a repeat customer, and during our conversation, they mentioned how much they appreciated our timely scheduling, communication, and the work we do.

It was a simple conversation, but it meant a lot.

Because at the end of the day, that's what we're building at Sellick Electric. Not just electrical systems, but relationships with homeowners who know they can count on us.

And speaking of scheduling...

Our fall calendar is filling quickly! We're currently scheduling generator installations, electrical safety checks, and other projects before winter settles in.

We're also looking ahead to 2027, with several exciting new builds already on the horizon.

Our fall calendar is filling up, and right now we’re scheduling:

• Fall electrical safety checks - a good once-over before heating season and winter weather arrive
• Camp closings - get the summer place buttoned up before freezing temperatures settle in
• And, of course, all those electrical projects still hanging out on the fall to-do list

September 30th?! Where did summer go?

It feels like we were JUST complaining about the heat… and now Maine is starting to look like this.

The leaves are changing, the mornings are colder, camps are closing up, and whether we want to admit it or not…

You know what is coming next.

We won’t say the S-word yet.

Our fall calendar at Sellick Electric is filling up, so if there’s an electrical project that’s been sitting on your to-do list, now is the time to get it handled.

Well, Maine… here we are.

School is back. Labor Day is behind us. The summer camps are starting to close up. The mornings are getting cooler.

And today is one of those rainy Sundays that quietly reminds you…

Winter is coming.

We said it. Sorry. 😂

But this is also the time of year when a little preparation goes a LONG way.

If you have a seasonal camp, now is the time to get your closing on the schedule instead of scrambling when the first real cold hits.

And if you've spent the last few winters saying, “We really need to get a generator…” every time the power goes out - maybe 2026 is the year we stop having that conversation by flashlight.

Sellick Electric is scheduling fall camp closings AND generator installations now.

Our fall calendar is already filling, and Maine weather doesn't exactly wait for us to be ready.

Enjoy football today. Make something good for dinner. Pretend snow isn't coming.

September 11, 2001. Never Forget.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to get out.

We remember the courage.

We remember the sacrifice.

And we remember how, in the days that followed, Americans showed up for one another - neighbors helping neighbors, strangers becoming family, and differences suddenly feeling a whole lot smaller.

25 years later, may we never forget the lives lost that day, and may we never lose sight of what it looks like to stand together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Happy Labor Day… and Happy Birthday to the guy behind Sellick Electric!

Seems pretty fitting that Chuck’s birthday falls on a day dedicated to hardworking people.

If you know Chuck, you know sitting still isn’t exactly his specialty. Whether he’s on a job, helping a customer, figuring out a problem, or saying “it’ll only take a minute” before disappearing into a project for the next three hours - he’s always doing something.

Today, though, we’re hoping he takes at least a little time to enjoy his birthday.

We’re incredibly grateful for another busy Maine summer, for the customers who continue to trust Sellick Electric, and for everyone who works hard every day to keep our communities running.

Happy Labor Day, Maine - and Happy Birthday, Chuck!

If you see the birthday boy today, make sure you give him a hard time for us.

We hate to be the ones to say it... but Labor Day weekend is here.

For a lot of Maine families, that means one more long weekend at camp. One more morning by the lake. One more fire. And then comes the part nobody looks forward to...

Closing camp for the season.

Draining. Shutting things down. Checking everything twice. Packing up. And inevitably getting halfway home and wondering, “Did I remember to...?”

This year, Sellick Electric is offering camp closing services to help take one more thing off your fall list.

Last full week of August... HOW did that happen?!

Summer projects are still rolling, and we're starting this Tuesday morning from another job site.

Think you know where we are today? Drop your guess - town only, no cheating if you recognize the view.

Meanwhile, our fall schedule is already filling up. If you've been thinking about that service upgrade, generator, remodel, addition, lighting project, or other electrical work, now is the time to get it on the calendar.

Because this is Maine...

One minute we're complaining about the heat, and approximately 12 minutes later we're looking for the snow shovel.

Thursday mood: We can see the weekend from here.

The weather is beautiful, the trucks are moving, the jobs are getting done... and somehow another Maine summer week is almost in the books.

So we're settling an important office debate today:

It's 4:30 on a beautiful summer Friday. Where are you headed?

A. Straight to the lake
B. Fire up the grill
C. Find a patio and something cold
D. Home. Pajamas. Nobody talk to me.
E. Still working because apparently you're an adult now

We're predicting a LOT of D's and E's.
