🌱 Spring is here in the Northern Region, which means seasonal weight restrictions are going into effect !

🚛 During spring thaw, road surfaces lose strength and become more susceptible to damage. To protect our roadways and keep them in good condition for everyone, weight limits are put in place.

🚧 SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS START APRIL 8 🚧

Spring break-up is here, and to protect our roads, seasonal weight restrictions go into effect April 8 across the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.

If you operate heavy vehicles, now is the time to plan ahead.

Seasonal weight restrictions are now in effect.

During restriction season, the amount we can haul is based on the most restrictive road we have to drive on or cross to reach your jobsite. In most cases, that means deliveries are limited to about 50% of normal load capacity.

When you place your order, we can help estimate how many loads may be needed based on your job size and the route involved. More loads can mean higher delivery-related costs.

We do not know in advance when these restrictions will be lifted. That is determined by the Borough and the State. Customers can use the official map below to get a general idea of current restrictions or contact the Borough or State directly for more information.
