From appearances to experiences. 🙏 🧢🏗️ Red Rock Construction & Remodel was honored to be selected by Lids, a nationally recognized hat and apparel retailer, to complete their tenant improvement inside Red Cliffs Mall.

This project represented a huge accomplishment—and an even bigger step forward in our goal of becoming one of Southern Utah’s trusted commercial construction contractors. 📈

We were handed an aggressive six-week deadline to complete the remodel and prepare the store for opening. Knowing how important the schedule was, we went all in. We assembled a fully staffed crew of eight team members, pulled manpower from our other active projects, and committed ourselves to getting the job done right and ahead of schedule.

The result? Red Rock completed the entire tenant improvement in only five weeks—one full week ahead of schedule. 💪⏱️

Projects like this require serious planning, coordination, communication, and teamwork. We are incredibly proud of our crew for stepping up and delivering under pressure.

Not all fasteners are created equal.

Per IRC requirements, screws that are not specifically rated and approved for structural applications should NOT be used where structural fastening is required. This is especially important when it comes to sill plate connections, framing connections, stair construction, and other load-bearing assemblies.

At Red Rock Construction & Remodel, we regularly find code violations that could have been avoided with proper training and field experience.

In Utah, obtaining a contractor’s license does not automatically mean someone has extensive construction experience. That’s why it’s critical to ask questions:

🚧 BIG NEWS SOUTHERN UTAH 🚧

For everyone asking about the project in the Target shopping plaza… yes 👀 it’s officially a new U Break I Fix by Asurion location coming to town! 📱🔧 The signs are officially up and Redrock Construction Remodel is proud to be leading the tenant improvement build-out.

We started this project around May 1st with demo, carpet removal, and over 4 days of grinding floors due to heavy PVC glue buildup 💪 Once complete, framing began immediately while we coordinated layout changes, floor outlets, and constructibility planning.

Now that permits are officially approved ✅ electrical rough-in is underway, outlets & TV locations are being installed, followed by concrete pour backs, drywall, tape & texture, paint, and spray painting the ceiling grid black with a DTM paint system 🎨 next comes the glue-down flooring and finish work. Target completion: end of May 🔥

At Redrock Construction Remodel, we understand every extra day inside a tenant improvement is another day a business owner cannot fully operate. As entrepreneurs ourselves, we take scheduling, coordination, and speed seriously while still following code and building safely. 🏗️

🚧 DAY 1 of this Southern Utah tenant improvement is underway. 🔥

Today was all about demo, problem solving, and protecting the client’s budget while creating a clean professional office space they can proudly grow their business in.

✅ Successfully salvaged the reception desk, countertops, and upper/lower cabinets
✅ Removed outdated dry stack finishes
✅ Opened wall for new office doorway
✅ Removed roughly 90% of existing flooring
✅ Started drywall, tape & texture work

During demo we uncovered an electrical issue ⚡ The existing junction box was directly where the new doorway needs to go, so tomorrow we’ll reroute wiring through the ceiling grid and keep the project moving.

We also discovered moisture-related flooring failure caused by improper flooring installation over concrete.

At Redrock Construction Remodel, we install LVP to manufacturer specifications — because skipping floor prep leads to failed floors and denied warranties. Even minimal prep matters. 👊

Big things happening in Southern Utah. One of our amazing CRE referrals,  connected us with a client ready to take the next step into their first major office space. Budget mattered, timelines mattered, and making the space feel professional mattered even more.

At the same time, Redrock Construction Remodel is celebrating a huge milestone of our own — officially signing the lease on our very first office space. It’s a reminder that growth in business takes vision, risk, and a willingness to level up.

This tenant improvement started with a tight budget and a vision. The original plan was simple: relocate countertops and add a private office doorway. But once the Redrock team got to work, experience and teamwork took over. We were able to carefully salvage the client’s countertops, upper and lower cabinets, and completely transform the space without unnecessary replacement costs.

We removed outdated dry stack finishes, cleaned everything up with fresh drywall, tape and texture, added new base details, and redesigned the front greeting area to feel open, professional, and welcoming. Every detail mattered — from the spacing behind the reception counter to the flow clients experience when they walk through the door.

We also updated the office with fresh two-tone paint, clean trim work, and helped the client upgrade to affordable high-quality LVP flooring through our direct manufacturer pricing.

🚧 Day 2 of this full home remodel is officially underway 🔥

Today we tackled over 2,000 sq. ft. of 16x16 tile demo 💪 removing tile, scraping up thinset, tearing out old shower glass 🚿, removing baseboards, and completely gutting the kitchen. Cabinets, countertops, appliances… sayonara 👋 it’s ALL gone.

Tomorrow we shift gears into floor prep 🛠️ After checking the slab for manufacturer specifications required for Luxury Vinyl Plank installation, we found areas that need grinding and additional prep work to make sure everything is within tolerance and installed the RIGHT way ✅
