🌓 It’s Not Too Late to Prune Your Palm Trees! 🌓

If you've been putting off palm tree maintenance, good news — there's still time to get it done! Pruning your palms not only keeps them looking clean and beautiful, but it also promotes healthy growth and prevents potential hazards from dead fronds or seed pods.

Why prune now?

šŸ‚ Fall is a great time to remove old growth before winter storms roll in.
🐜 It helps reduce pests and critters that nest in dying fronds.
🌓 Your palms will look fresh and tidy heading into the cooler months.

Whether you have towering Royals or cozy Pygmy Dates, a proper trim can make a big difference. Don’t wait until fronds start falling or your tree looks overgrown — let’s get your palms in shape!

šŸ“… Schedule your pruning today and give your landscape the care it deserves.

🌳 The Hidden Threat in Your Trees: Borers šŸ›

If your trees are looking unhealthy despite regular care, you might be dealing with a silent invader: borers. These destructive insects tunnel into tree trunks and branches, feeding on the inner wood and disrupting the flow of nutrients and water. Over time, this can lead to serious damage—or even death—for your trees.

🚨 Why Borers Are Dangerous:

-Internal Damage: Unlike surface pests, borers attack from the inside, making them hard to detect until it's too late.
-Weakening Structure: Their tunnels compromise the tree’s strength, increasing the risk of breakage or collapse.
-Disease Spread: Borers often carry fungi and bacteria that can infect the tree, accelerating decline.
-Targeting Stressed Trees: Trees already weakened by drought, poor soil, or pruning wounds are especially vulnerable.

šŸ” Signs to Watch For:

-Sawdust-like frass around the base or on branches
-Small holes in the bark
-Wilting or yellowing leaves
-Dieback in the canopy
-Bark peeling or cracking

šŸ›”ļø What You Can Do:

-Keep trees healthy with proper watering and mulching
-Avoid wounding trunks and branches
-Inspect regularly for signs of infestation
-Consult a certified arborist for treatment options

Borers can be devastating, but early detection and proactive care can save your trees. Don’t wait until it’s too late—protect your landscape and preserve your green spaces!

🌳 Up in the Trees, Hard at Work 🌳

At Master Arbor Tree Service, we don’t just climb trees — we climb high for a reason. Every day, we put in the hard work to care for the trees that shape our neighborhoods and skyline. It's tough, physical, and often challenging work — but it's also incredibly rewarding.

From way up in the canopy, we get a view of the city that few ever see. The sun rising over rooftops, the wind rustling through the leaves, and the quiet hum of life below — it’s a perspective that reminds us why we do what we do.

Whether we’re pruning, removing, or preserving, we take pride in every job. Because for us, it’s not just about trees — it’s about people, safety, and the beauty of nature in our urban spaces.

Here’s to the crew that climbs high, works hard, and never stops caring. šŸ’ŖšŸŒ†šŸŒ²

šŸŽ Don’t Wait—Treat Borers in Fruit Trees Before It’s Too Late! šŸ›

Late summer to early fall is critical for protecting your fruit trees from borers—destructive insects that tunnel into trunks and branches, weakening and eventually killing the tree.

Borers lay eggs in summer, and their larvae begin feeding just beneath the bark. If left untreated, they can:

🚫 Block water and nutrient flow
šŸŖ“ Cause structural damage
🌳 Lead to tree death—especially in young or stressed trees

Why Treat Now?
By late summer and early fall, borer larvae are active and vulnerable to treatment. Waiting until spring is often too late, as the damage will already be done.

What You Can Do:
āœ… Apply appropriate insecticides or biological treatments
āœ… Use trunk wraps or paint to deter egg-laying
āœ… Keep trees healthy with proper watering and pruning
āœ… Monitor for sawdust-like frass or oozing sap—signs of infestation

Protect your harvest and your trees—act now to stop borers before they burrow in for the winter!

🌳 Are Your Trees Looking Stressed? It Might Be Grubs. šŸ›

If your trees are showing signs of stress—wilting leaves, thinning canopy, or early leaf drop—it’s easy to blame drought or disease. But there’s another sneaky culprit that often goes unnoticed: grubs.

Grubs are the larvae of beetles. While they’re best known for damaging lawns by feeding on grass roots, they can also wreak havoc on trees by:

šŸ” Feeding on tree roots, reducing the tree’s ability to absorb water and nutrients
🌱 Weakening the tree’s overall health, making it more vulnerable to pests and disease
šŸ’§ Mimicking drought symptoms, even when your tree is getting enough water

What You Can Do:
āœ… Inspect the soil around your trees for grubs
āœ… Consider beneficial nematodes or grub control treatments
āœ… Keep trees well-watered and mulched to reduce stress
āœ… Consult a certified arborist if symptoms persist

Healthy roots mean healthy trees. Don’t let grubs go unnoticed—catch them early and give your trees the support they need to thrive!
