Another Annual WIMCO Superintendent Leadership Conference in the books!

Our Superintendents recently came together to share best practices, talk jobsite safety, and discuss ways to strengthen communication and relationships with our clients and project partners.

We mixed in plenty of time to catch up, along with a visit from the Sutton’s Safety Shoes truck and some offshore fishing, inshore fishing and golf.

With our Superintendents working on jobsites across the country, it’s always good to bring everyone together. We’re grateful for the leadership and commitment they bring to WIMCO every day!

Shoutout to Brooks Elks, our Field Support & Safety Manager, for fully embracing the nickname he earned in the field! 😂🦺

Today marked the first day of school for students across our area, and an especially meaningful first day right here in Washington.

For the first time, students walked through the doors of the new Washington Elementary School and began making this building their own.

Over the last 19 months, we’ve watched this school take shape right here in the community we call home. And for us, this one hits especially close to home. Some of our own WIMCO kids will learn and grow within these walls, while members of our extended WIMCO family come here each day to teach, support and care for them.

Countless hours, countless hands and an incredible amount of heart have gone into creating a place that will serve generations of students and families.

Welcome home, Little Pack. 🐾💙

Here’s to a great school year for students and educators throughout Eastern North Carolina!

Yesterday, we joined Perquimans County Schools to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new 158,044 SF Perquimans Intermediate School in Windfall, NC!

Built to serve up to 962 students, the new school features 50+ classrooms, a multipurpose space, gymnasium, state-of-the-art athletic fields and much more.

Designed by Hite Associates and built by WIMCO, it’s been a privilege to help bring this new learning environment to life.

Thank you to our project team, trade partners and everyone who played a role in making this project a reality.
