Sometimes water damage can be addressed with a less extensive repair. In this case, the drywall was compromised enough that replacement was the right approach.
As we cut out the damaged material, we found the affected area was larger than we anticipated. Our team adjusted the repair, and once the drywall work was complete, we also considered how the paint would look across the repaired area. A small paint patch would have been slightly different from the surrounding finish, so we painted corner to corner instead.
The result is a complete repair that addresses both the damage beneath the surface and the room's finished appearance.
