Never underestimate the power of custom millwork.

Swipe to see how modifying just one architectural transition completely changed the energy of this home's entryway.

By replacing the rigid, boxy cased opening and square columns with a beautifully detailed custom archway, we created a softer, more elegant frame for the view beyond. Paired with a stunning new curved staircase banister and beautifully refinished hardwood floors, this transition now feels classic, intentional, and grand.

From underutilized space to summer destination.

The challenge with an outdoor extension is making sure the new additions feel cohesive with the original architecture. For this Chevy Chase project, we gave the classic backyard a massive upgrade with a custom covered patio, crisp new hardscaping, and a pristine pool setup. Functional luxury designed to be enjoyed all year round.

Cheers to outdoor living done right!

Good design starts with a vision... And a very detailed plan.

We love showing the relationship between our architectural drawings and the finished project. It highlights the craftsmanship, intentionality, and custom details (like floor-to-ceiling library shelves!) that make a house feel like home.

What part of this project inspires you the most?

When renovating a home in a historic neighborhood like Chevy Chase, the goal is always to introduce modern luxury without losing timeless sensibility.

By splitting the vanities to frame the doorway, we maximized the flow of the room, added tons of dedicated storage, and created a beautifully balanced visual anchor.
