A new chapter for a historic building.

We are in the early design phase of converting this church into nine large residential units, including multi-level homes with double-height living spaces that preserve the scale of the original interior and keep the stained-glass windows central to the experience.

The goal is to introduce a new use while respecting the character that makes the building distinctive.

Next step: historic preservation review.

This primary bath in a new custom home in Bethesda is a great example of how thoughtful architectural planning can shape the experience of a space.

The layout creates clear zones for the vanity, soaking tub, and shower, while large windows bring natural light deep into the room and create a strong connection to the outdoors.

We especially love the balance of warm wood, soft stone tones, textured surfaces, and clean lines throughout the space. Together, they create a calm, refined environment without feeling overly formal.

A well-planned bath starts with more than finishes. It starts with proportion, light, circulation, and the way each element relates to the next.

A finished home designed around light, connection, and everyday living.

For this modern residence in Bethesda, the interiors balance warm wood tones, natural stone, dark architectural accents, and expansive glass to create a home that feels refined without losing warmth.

A finished project that feels like it has always belonged.

For this home, we designed a rear addition across all levels, added an attic level, and created a detached garage with an ADU above.

The design expands the home while preserving the proportions and character of a traditional Colonial. From the front elevation to the new rear spaces and patio, each addition was planned to feel cohesive, balanced, and rooted in the neighborhood.

Sometimes the site itself becomes part of the design.

For this home addition in Bethesda, the property’s location within a floodplain meant the new rear addition needed to be raised to meet the County’s required flood elevation. Rather than treating that as a limitation, we used it to create a split-level transition between the existing home and the new spaces.

The result is a design that responds thoughtfully to both the site and the way the home will function.
