A significant project designed by Cooper Carry - The Center for Connective Architecture of Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC. The structure was a 20,000 SqFt Historic Retrofit Re-purposing of an Administrative building. The project started with a full gut of the interior and significant structural retrofit; along with mechanical and electrical build-outs. The design included hip exposed interior for common spaces. The facility houses up to 33 students in DC as interns; offices for the U. of GA president when in town and a distance learning facility. For these purposes, the structure was provided with a heavy IT package.
